A Clinical Research Study to Evaluate a Bagless Ostomy Care Solution is Now Enrolling Participants

Massachusetts General Hospital announces participation in the OstoSURE™ Device Quality of Life Clinical Study.

OstoSURE is a new ostomy care solution designed to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with a stoma. OstoSURE allows people living with ostomies freedom from being tethered to bags and accessories.

This clinical research study aims to evaluate the quality-of-life impact experienced by users. OstoSURE is indicated for all types of ostomies; however, this clinical trial will primarily focus on ileostomies and may include urostomies.

At a minimum, participants must meet the following criteria to be eligible for enrollment in the study:

  • Have an ileostomy (or urostomy) at least three (3) months or older.
  • Willing to be evaluated to ensure the stoma and overall current health meet inclusion criteria.
  • Willing to complete several quality-of-life questionnaires.
  • Willing to complete daily diaries.
  • Willing to be fitted and use OstoSURE for the study period.
  • Participants must attend all required study-related visits at the hospital throughout the study period.

Participants completing the study will be entitled to compensation.
